Study Russian for personal and professional goals
The department trains students under the quota program of the Russian Federation Government for foreign nationals and stateless persons, as allocated by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Training follows the Practical Course of Russian as a Foreign Language module for philology students (bachelor’s and master’s degree).
The program covers a wide range of disciplines, providing comprehensive training for philologists, translators, educators and other humanities specialists.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants receive an official Certificate indicating the duration of study and the total number of academic hours covered by the program. They also have the opportunity to take the Test of Russian as a Foreign Language (TORFL) to certify their proficiency level.

This accelerated program is designed for both absolute beginners starting their Russian language journey and intermediate learners seeking to enhance their proficiency across all key communication skills: speaking, reading, listening, and writing.
Russian speakers at A1 level and above can start their studies on the 1st of any month during the academic year after passing an entrance test to determine their current Russian language level and subject to availability of places in groups at the appropriate level.

For those requiring specialized instruction, we offer a Customized Intensive Russian Program with fully personalized curricula. This adaptive approach allows learners to focus on specific skill development aligned with their unique objectives. Course content, pacing, and scheduling are individually designed after thorough needs assessment.

How to enroll in our courses ?

For on-campus enrollment, applicants must provide:

For visa support, you need not later than 2 months before the start of your studies
Send an email to study@pushkin.institute expressing your interest in enrolling in the Russian language course.

Choose your desired study profile
Review the course information provided by the Institute staff and fill out the application form. Send the completed form, pages of your passport with a photo, personal data, the date of issue of the passport, its validity period (including renewal) to study@pushkin.institute

Wait for a response
The staff of the Institute will respond to you by e-mail within 10 days after receiving the questionnaire. The Institute draws up and sends you an official invitation.
If you do not receive a response, please resend your message including your full name, nationality, and the date you submitted the application to study@pushkin.institute.
