Minimum Passing Scores

Comprehensive ExaminationHolding a diploma confirming the status of winner or prize-winner of the Kostomarov Olympiad is considered equivalent to the maximum score on the internal entrance examination for master’s programs corresponding to the Olympiad field.
Consideration of Individual Achievements
- The Admissions Committee awards additional points to applicants who have the same total score on the entrance examination.
- Up to 10 points are awarded for general individual achievements.
- Applicants must submit documents confirming their achievements.
- In the event of equal total scores according to the ranking criteria in the competitive lists, preference is given to applicants holding a diploma with honors from their previous education.

If documents required for admission are sent via public postal service operators, they will be accepted provided they are received by the Institute no later than the deadline for document submission established by the admission rules approved by the Institute.
If documents required for admission are submitted in person by the applicant, the applicant shall get a receipt confirming document acceptance.
Information on the Need (or Lack Thereof) for Applicants to Undergo Mandatory Preliminary Medical Examination
When applying to full-time educational programs, foreign citizens and stateless persons must submit originals of the following medical certificates:
- A copy of a medical document from a healthcare institution in the applicant’s country of residence, confirming the absence of medical contraindications for studying in the Russian Federation, including confirmation of the absence of all types of hepatitis and tuberculosis, issued no earlier than three months prior to the start of the academic year;
- A copy of a medical document from a healthcare institution in the applicant’s country of residence, confirming the absence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, issued no earlier than three months prior to the start of the academic year.
Applicants living with HIV are not required to submit the aforementioned document if they have family members (spouse, children (including adopted), parents (including foster parents)) who are citizens of the Russian Federation or foreign citizens or stateless persons permanently residing in the territory of the Russian Federation, and provided that they have not violated the legislation of the Russian Federation on the prevention of the spread of HIV infection.
